STRETCH GOAL!! Thanks to our incredible community of donors, we’ve met our initial goal—thank you! We're now inviting further contributions to help refuel our 3ER (3Arts Emergency Response) and 3-Opp Fund. Originally launched during the height of the pandemic, this fund continues to provide crucial support to 3Arts artists facing unexpected artistic opportunities or financial hardships. Every additional dollar raised will go directly toward helping artists with pressing needs.

Celebrate and Support Chicago Artists: The 2025 3Arts Community Award Campaign is Here!

Join us in championing Chicago’s vibrant arts community by contributing to the 2025 3Arts Community Award campaign.

Every gift—from $5 and up—will help fund a $30,000 unrestricted 3Arts Award recognizing an extraordinary artist whose work and presence uplift our city. Thanks to the generous support of MSU Federal Credit Union, your contributions will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $15,000!

Funds raised beyond our goal will go toward our 3ER (3Arts Emergency Response) which continues to provide critical assistance to artists facing urgent needs—a legacy that began during the pandemic and remains vital today.

About This Project

“It's a testament to Chicago art in general – we are the ecosystem. People really pushing the art forward, and the community is pushing the art forward, so this is, this is exactly that. You are essentially living what Chicago art is”
~Rich Robbins, 2024 2025 3Arts/MSUFCU Community Awardee

Each year, ten Chicago artists who reflect our mission receive 3Arts Awards of $30,000, with no strings attached. Artists may use the awards to support new work, pay off debt, purchase equipment, travel, or start a savings account—or however they wish. For most of them, our award is the first they have received.

An unrestricted award is significant on its own, but 3Arts Awards represent more than just cash. They are the entry point to career-spanning support that helps artists build momentum over time. 3Arts awardees are eligible for project funding, residency fellowships, informal and formal professional development, and promotion. Learn more about the 3Arts Awards selection process and past recipients.

Save the date! We will announce the new Community Award recipient on November 10th during the 2025 3Arts Awards Celebration at the Harris Theater.
